A New Name and a New Look
for this Historic Downtown Scottsdale Resort

December 2016: A New Name to Set the Stage

Summer 2017: $13 Million Reinvention of all Public Spaces & Guest Rooms

Built in the 1960s, The Scott Resort & Spa has always boasted a unique and nostalgic feel. The newly reinvented resort will feature a fresh design, while celebrating the timeless elements that have been a foundation of the resort over the past 50 years. Inspired by Spanish Revival-architecture, the resort’s new look will incorporate Old Havana-style furniture, colors, and textures, along with a spattering of Bauhaus-inspired graphic patterns and lighting. A liberal use of natural light and greenery will bring elements of the surrounding outdoors into the resort’s main lobby, creating a fun and social gathering spot for resort guests and Scottsdale locals alike.

The name of the resort will change on December 1, 2016. The new name will reflect the history of Scottsdale, but also commemorate the revival of this historic landmark. Then, in the summer of 2017, the resort will undergo a $13 million restoration and redesign of our 204 guest rooms, enhancement of over 14,000 sq. ft of meeting space and total revitalization of public areas, once again emerging as one of THE premier resorts in the Southwest.

“The Scott was built in the 1960s, so it has great bones and a very nostalgic feel.
We’re basically taking those fundamentals and celebrating them with the redesign.”
